We're hiring · Orange County

Are you the one who quietly straightens other people's shelves?

We are growing, and I am looking for one more pair of hands.

We organize homes for families across Orange County, many of them living with ADHD, and you would be working beside me on real jobs. Experience organizing is a plus and it is not required. If you see where things belong before anyone tells you, read on.

The job

What the Work Actually Is

You will be in a client's home, sorting what is there into categories, organizing it, setting up the systems, and labeling them.

There is light cleaning as well, wiping a shelf down before anything goes back on it. The good part comes at the end of the project. You stand in a room that works, the family sees it for the first time, and you leave knowing you changed how they live.

All the training happens on the job site, on real projects. You are not handed a manual and sent off to a house on your own.

The person

Who We're Looking For

You will learn our way of working on the job. The part we cannot teach is the eye for it.

An eye for orderYou look at a full room and already see how it should end up.
Patience with peopleThese are their belongings and their decisions. No judgment, ever.
ReliableYou show up on time, and you are dedicated to finishing what you start.
DiscreetWhat you see and hear inside a client's home stays there.
IndependentYou can take a section, be shown once how we want it, and carry it through on your own.

One thing to know about how we work. We organize for how a family lives and functions, not for a photo. Many of our clients have ADHD, so a system that looks beautiful and cannot be kept up does not always work for them. It still has to look good, but it has to work first. Building something a family can live with is what matters here, not chasing perfection.

Requirements

What You Bring

Physical
  • You can safely lift about 25 lbs and stay on your feet. That is what a full bin weighs on an average job. You are not a mover, but the day is still physical: bending, kneeling, hauling the trash out, loading donations, and moving boxes.
Vehicle
  • Your own reliable car. You drive yourself to the job, and jobs are spread across Orange County. Public transit does not work for this role.
  • A big car is a plus, and it is not required. I take the donation loads myself, and it is useful on a heavy day when someone else can take one too.
  • Jobs sit within about a 30 minute drive, and that time is not paid. You see the address before you accept, so you can take the ones that make sense from where you live.
Phone
  • A smartphone. We print the labels from an app right there on the job.

Why I'm Hiring

I have spent five years walking families through the hardest part of their lives, turning a space they can barely live in into a home that is functional and welcoming. What I want now is a team I can send into a home knowing the client gets the same care she would get from me.

"I am looking for someone I would trust in a client's home on a day I cannot be there."
